Donald R. White | Founder | Intercede Heartbeat Training Center, LLC

A natural leader and instructor backed by his extensive experience in the U.S. Marine Corps and corporate world, Donald R. White has excelled as the founder of Intercede Heartbeat Training Center LLC—which provides people and businesses with training in First Aid, CPR, AED, Workplace Violence Response, and more—since 2021. In addition to teaching lifesaving skills, he oversees the daily operations of the business and builds the client base. With certifications in First Aid, CPR/AED, Basic Life Support, Workplace Violence Prevention, and through the STOP THE BLEED program, among others, he teaches lifesaving skills as well as oversees the daily operations of the business and builds the company’s growing client base.

Upon graduating from high school, Mr. White joined the Marine Corps and advanced to Platoon Sergeant, serving in the role from 1989 to 1997, and has been active as a counselor and coach within the Young Marines program since 1992. Following his honorable discharge, he worked as a supply manager for the Archer Daniels Midland Company before starting a lengthy career at Cintas Corporation—where he climbed the ladder from the warehouse to service manager, account executive, Smith Systems trainer, and training and compliance instructor between 2008 and 2020. However, during the onset of COVID-19 pandemic, he lost his job after more than a decade. After a year or two of just enjoying spending time with his family, his wife, Tonya, encouraged him to start his own business that utilized all his knowledge and skills to train people how to save the lives of others because she knew how passionate he was about teaching. Seeing the success of Intercede Heartbeat Training Center LLC has surpassed all the notable highlights of his career—it feels fully gratified to receive client referrals and good responses from his students.

Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. White has been guided by his strong faith through his role as a teacher, a mentor, and an assistant youth director at The Church Without Walls, a Houston institution, since 1988. Through his services there, he has cherished the opportunity to help the youth, as the information he teaches provides them with a baseline to be pointed in the right direction. The impact he has had is immeasurable, especially for those students who are able to process the teaching well and apply it in their lives. As a testament to his impact in this venue, he has been featured and contributed an article to the TCWW Church Magazine.

Looking toward the future, Mr. White intends to continue growing his company, create employment opportunities for others in the community, hire another instructor to accommodate the workload and busy schedule, and implement a board of staff of at least 20 people.
